Mr. Frank V. Foit, a sculptor and staff member of the Art Department of Kenyatta College in Nairobi, had the rare opportunity of making a study of the West African traditional Puppet Theater. The area of his research included the Ivory Coast, Guinea, and the Ituri Forest in the Eastern Congo. Mr. S. I. Clerk, art critic of the East African Standard in Nairobi, reports here on the findings of Mr. Foit.
