ALAN DONOVAN first came to Africa with the US State Department in 1967 and worked as a relief officer during the Nigeria-Biafra war. He later cofounded the African Heritage complex in Kenya with the late Joseph and Sheila Murumbi. As chairman of the Murumbi Trust, he is presently constructing the Murumbi Memorial Park in Nairobi as a permanent memorial in their honor. [email protected]
