Victoria L. Rovine
Victoria L. Rovine is an Associate Professor of Art History and African Studies at the University of Florida. She has conducted research on textiles, fashion, and contemporary art in Mali, South Africa, and elsewhere in Africa. She is the author of Bogolan: Shaping Culture through Cloth in Contemporary Mali (Indiana University Press 2008) as well as numerous book chapters and articles on African fashion design and African influences on Western fashion design, and is currently at work on a book on the subject. vrovine@ufl.edu
