In the article “Evolutionary Innovations and Where to Find Them: Routes to Open-Ended Evolution in Natural and Artificial Systems” by Tim Taylor, in Artificial Life25:2, 2019, a proofreading error caused a change to the meaning of Figure 4. The arrows in this figure were meant to be carefully aligned such that they originate above the “p” symbol in the Organism 1 or Organism 2 line, and terminate at specific other characters in these Organism 1/2 lines, but this was changed in the final version. The corrected figure has been added to the article and re-posted, and can also be found below.
