Chia Wai Mun: Using annual panel data spanning from 2007 to 2019 for 30 provinces in China, this study examines the impact of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) technology innovation on green total factor productivity (GTFP). The results highlight three key points. First, CCUS technology innovation significantly enhances GTFP. Second, it achieves this by notably augmenting industrial structure and carbon emissions efficiency. Third, environmental regulations emerge as a positive moderator in the relationship between CCUS technology innovation and GTFP. These findings collectively highlight the important role CCUS innovation plays in promoting eco-friendly productivity, with environmental policies improving its positive effects.
