Riatu Mariatul Qibthiyyah: While an extensive literature review exists on the gender wage gap, it is important to recognize that the drivers of this gap and the feasible policy solutions may vary across countries (Gregory 1999; Daly et al. 2006). This paper compares profiles of female employment, wage differentials across location, sectors, and occupation, as well as characteristics of the labor supply for men and women referring to wage employees for these respective years: 2014, 2017, and 2019. The authors have thoroughly assessed the gender wage differential and provide a profile on number of wage employees and the headline wage ratio across gender. There is an increase of share of women's employment in urban areas, the manufacturing sector, and in high-skill occupations (i.e., managers, professionals, and technicians) in 2019 in comparison to 2017.
