Leong Yuen Yoong: The paper addresses a very relevant and important issue—the impact of farmers’ adaptation to extreme weather events (floods and droughts) on rice productivity in Thailand. Given the importance of rice to Thailand's economy and food security, and the increasing challenges posed by climate change, this research is timely and has the potential to contribute meaningfully to the literature. The results provide interesting insights into the factors influencing adaptation decisions and the impact of adaptation on rice productivity. The discussion of barriers to adaptation and policy implications is also relevant and provides practical recommendations.
