The Center for Sustainable Development, Columbia University, United States; the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy, South Korea; the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), New York City, Paris, Kuala Lumpur; and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia, Indonesia are presently the sponsors of the Asian Economic Panel and play a managerial and financial role in the meetings. Membership of the Asian Economic Panel is by invitation. The Panel meets three times a year in different parts of the world to discuss economic issues that pertain either to subregions of Asia or to particular Asian countries. The discussion of each topic begins with the presentation of an analytical paper. A carefully selected subset of the papers presented at each meeting is published in Asian Economic Papers three times per year. The papers are chosen from open submissions or solicited from experts in the relevant topics.
