The late Yorick Wilks was Emeritus Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Sheffield, a Research Associate of the Oxford Internet Institute, and a Senior Research Scientist at the Florida Institute of Human and Machine Cognition. His books include Close Engagements with Artificial Companions and Artificial Believers: The Ascription of Belief (with Afzal Ballim).

Brian Slator is Professor of Computer Science and Operations Research and Director of The NDSU Computer Systems Institute at North Dakota State University.

Louise Guthrie is Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Texas at El Paso.
