Direct Title List

Complete list of the eBooks available in MIT Press Direct. The list is updated twice yearly, usually by early May (for the coming Fall list) and early October (for the following Spring list).

MIT Press Direct Complete Title List (12/01/2022)

Thanks to the support of libraries worldwide, we will publish our 2022 frontlist monographs open access via our new Direct to Open (D2O) model. Our frontlist eBooks (new titles for each calendar year) are now divided into a Trade Collection and a D2O collection with corresponding backlist collections split along the same lines. For a small number of monographs, authors have chosen to opt out of D2O. These monographs will be included for purchase in the Trade Collection.

For clarity, this is what is included in each collection:

Exclusions

While we make every effort to include the vast majority of MIT Press titles in Direct, for various reasons, there will be some exceptions. The most common examples are textbooks and books for which we don’t have electronic rights. Below is a list of MIT Press titles published between 2016 and the current season that are NOT on the Direct platform, and the reason why they are not. As for the holdings list, the exclusions list is update twice yearly, usually by early May (for the coming Fall list) and early October (for the following Spring list).
