The annual conference of the International Society for Music Information Retrieval (ISMIR) will take place 8–12 November 2021. The conference will be held virtually and comprise research presentations and workshops related to music information retrieval (MIR). Topics of interest at ISMIR include music signal processing, symbolic music processing, music-related metadata, representations of music, music acoustics, computational music theory and musicology, machine learning for music, sound source separation, music transcription and annotation, music generation, evaluation methodologies, novel datasets, philosophical and methodological foundations of MIR, human–computer interaction, digital libraries and archives, music and health, and music recommendation. The ISMIR organizers have also announced a special track for papers on cultural diversity in MIR, with the aim of promoting the cultural diversity of both MIR research and the ISMIR community. This track will feature papers having a focus on non-Western music or cross-cultural studies related to MIR.
