Örjan Sandred is a Swedish/Canadian composer currently residing in Canada. His Sonic Trails presents three works for voices or instruments with live electronics, and a recording of one piece that was originally a sound installation for four loudspeakers. As a whole the disc seems to articulate a theme of immobility, or stillness, in relation to natural formations. This is reflected in the composer's use of static textures and forms.
