This triple-LP collection contains 50 years of Carl Stone's electronic music, featuring eleven compositions, mostly arranged chronologically, ranging in length between 3 and 23 minutes. The composer is well known for his experimental forays into sampling technologies. He has produced electroacoustic music since the early 1970s, studying his craft at the California Institute of the Arts with Morton Subotnick and James Tenney. From the mid 1980s on, he pioneered live computer music performances at a time when the norm was to produce fixed-media works.
