Through the Looking Glass

Shawn L. Rickenbacker is Associate Professor of Architecture and Director of the J. Max Bond Center for Urban Futures at The City College of New York's Spitzer School of Architecture. His work at the Bond Center confronts the complex intersection of spatial equity and the social, environmental, and economic impacts of place-based policies, programs, and design through urban data, forensics, and design research. A trained architect, urbanist, and urban data researcher, Rickenbacker has held design positions in the US and London, lectured in Waterloo, Helsinki, and Tokyo, and conducted research in South Africa and Ghana. His work has been exhibited internationally.
