Daedalus publishes by invitation only and assumes no responsibility for unsolicited manuscripts. The views expressed are those of the author(s) of each article, and not necessarily of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.

Review is done by subject matter experts (the guest editor of each issue). As of the Summer 2022 issue, authors retain copyright to their submissions, and all articles are published openly under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. For articles published prior, the American Academy of Arts & Sciences holds the copyright to the majority of articles, although there are exceptions.
