Turkey in the Great Exhibition of 1851

Gülname Turan began working in 1999 as a researcher and teaching assistant at the Faculty of Architecture, Department of Industrial Product Design at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), while completing her Ph.D. on design in the early Turkish Republican Era. She is a member of the organizing community of “Mind the Map: 3rd International Conference on Design History and Design Studies” and acted as secretary during the July 2002 meeting. Her work has been published internationally and nationally.
