Emil Ruder: A Future for Design Principles in Screen Typography

Hilary Kenna is a Lecturer in Design and Digital Media, and Joint Programme Chair of the BA(Hons) in Visual Communication at the Institute of Art, Design and Technology Dun Laoghaire, (IADT), Dublin, Ireland. Hilary has over ffteen years of experience as a graphic and interaction designer having previously worked for Vivendi Universal and Multimedia Technologies Ireland. Hilary is currently on secondment as Principal Investigator and Designer for two digital media research projects in data visualization funded by the National Digital Research Centre (NDRC), Dublin, Ireland. She is also completing a practice-based PhD, Designing Typography for Screen, at the London College of Communication (LCC). Hilary authors a research blog, www.type4screen.com.
