Designer-Authored Histories: Graphic Design at the Goldstein Museum of Design Unavailable

Steven McCarthy is a professor of graphic and interactive design at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus. McCarthy has an MFA in design from Stanford University and a BFA in sculpture and drawing from Bradley University. His creative work has been in over 80 juried and invitational exhibitions and his artist's books are in university collections at Yale, Virginia Commonwealth, Harvard, Cincinnati, Stanford and Washington, among others, as well as the Ruth and Marvin Sackner Archive of Visual and Concrete Poetry. McCarthy's scholarship on theories of design authorship has been presented, exhibited and published in over a dozen countries.
