The Local and the Global: Hokusai's Great Wave in Contemporary Product Design

Christine M. E. Guth leads the Asian design history specialism in the Royal College of Art and Victoria and Albert Museum Design History Programme. She is the author of many publications on Japan, including Art, Tea and Industry: Masuda Takashi and the Mitsui Circle (1993) and Longfellow's Tattoos: Tourism, Collecting, and Japan (2004).
