From Looking to Reading: Text-Based Conceptual Art and Typographic Discourse

Ruth Blacksell lives in London, U.K. She is Programme Director for the MA in Book Design at the Department of Typography & Graphic Communication, Reading University. Her PhD on “Typography after Conceptual Art” (2012) was funded by a Concordat Scholarship from the British Library and Sheffield University. She is also an associate director at the London-based design studio O-SB.
