Go Green: Hotels, Design, and the Sustainability Paradox

David Brody is Associate Professor of Design Studies at Parsons The New School for Design. He is also the Director of the MA Program in the History of Decorative Arts and Design, which is a joint Parsons/Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum program. He is the author of Visualizing American Empire: Orientalism and Imperialism in the Philippines (University of Chicago Press, 2010) and co-editor of Design Studies: A Reader (Berg, 2009). His current book project is titled Do Not Disturb: Design, Hotels, and Labor (under advance contract with the University of Chicago Press).
