Sebnem Timur Ogut graduated from the Department of Industrial Design at METU and received her degrees of MFA and PhD from Bilkent University, Department of Graphic Design. She currently teaches at Istanbul Technical University, Department of Industrial Product Design. Her research interests concentrate mainly on design and particularly on objects as cultural phenomena at the intersection point of semiotics, material culture, and visual culture studies.
