Isabelle Marina Held is a History of Design doctoral researcher at the Victoria and Albert Museum and Royal College of Art, London. Her UK Arts and Humanities Research Council funded dissertation is titled “Designing the Bombshell: Military-Industrial Materials and the Shaping of Women's Bodies in the USA, 1939–1976.” Isabelle's grants and awards include fellowships at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, Hagley Museum, and Science History Institute. Her design history writing is featured in publications including Baron, The Towner, Under the Influence, and Baroness.
