Anamarija Korolj is the co-designer for this Design Issues cover (vol. 38, no. 2 Spring 2022). With Leon Lai, Anamarija co-founded studio Svima in Toronto (2015), where she works in architecture, industrial design, furniture, graphics, and art, as well as teaches architecture and design. She has presented work at the Venice Biennale in Architecture as part of Team Canada, and has worked on architectural projects in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Leon Lai is the co-designer for this Design Issues cover (vol. 38, no. 2 Spring 2022). With Amamarija Korolj, Leon co-founded studio Svima in Toronto (2015), where he also teaches and manages the Design Review Panel at Waterfront Toronto. He is a registered architect whose work tackles questions at the scale of the city.
