Traces and Hopes of Design Research: An Interview with Gui Bonsiepe,* Klaus Krippendorff, Siegfried Maser,* and René Spitz*

Sandra Groll studied product design, philosophy, and aesthetics at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design. After receiving her degree in 2007, she worked as a furniture designer and later an academic assistant at the School of Art and Design at the University of Kassel. She has been working on her PhD Thesis, “Serielle Ästhetik - Zur kulturellen Funktion von Gestaltung,” at the Offenbach Academy of Art and Design since 2010. Her research interests include design theories, system theory, philosophy, aesthetics, sociology of things, and history of design.
