Skin, Body, and Presence in Contemporary European Choreography

An essayist, dance critic, and dramaturg. His writingon dance and performance studies has appeared in Ballett International, ArtForum, Performance Research, Mouvement, Nouvelles de Danse, and Contact Quarterly, among others. He edited Theaterschrift Extra: Intensification—Contemporary Portugese Performance (December, 1998). He has beendramaturg for Meg Stuart and Damaged Goods (Belgium) since 1992. He is currently working on his dissertation “Moving without the Colonial Mirror” in the Department of Performance Studies at Tisch Schoolof the Arts/NYU.
