Peter Eckersall is Lecturer in Theatre Studies at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne, Australia. In 1998 he completed a PhD on Japanese theatre culture since the 1960s and coedited a volume on intercultural theatre culture praxis, Disorientations: Cultural Praxis in Theatre. Asia, Pacific, Australia. (Monash University, 1999). He is also a performer and resident dramaturg for the Not Yet It's Difficult performance group
