Abstract
Nontraditional casting has long been of interest to TDR. Here Contributing Editor Sun argues that expanding job opportunities for nonwhite actors is only part of the situation. Another aspect includes asking when, if ever, ought roles written for people-of-color be played by actors of other ethnicities.
