Pilgrimage As a Pedagogical Practice in Contemporary Taiwanese Theatre: U Theatre and the Baishatun Ma-tsu Pilgrimage

Assistant Professor in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Worcester State College. He has conducted extensive field research in Taiwan as a Chiang Ching-kuo Dissertation Fellow, Blakemore Foundation Scholar, and Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. He is the Artistic Director of Riverbed Theatre and has collaborated with Taiwanese performance artists in staging seven original productions in Taiwan. He received his PhD in Performance Studies at Northwestern University.
