Judith Rudakoff
Developmental dramaturge for theatre and dance as well as a writer, educator, and contemporary theatre historian. Her new work creating dramaturgical methodologies has been used in England, Cuba, South Africa, and at York University, where she coordinates the graduate and undergraduate programs in playwriting and dramaturgy. She is the only foreigner to have been declared an honorary member of Cuba's Teatro Escambray and the first Canadian recipient of the Elliott Hayes Prize in Dramaturgy for her collaboration on Sampradaya Dance Creations' production of Revealed by Fire (2000). Her most recent book, with American Lynn M. Thomson, is Between the Lines: The Process of Dramaturgy (Playwrights Canada Press, 2002).
