Social Theatre in Bangladesh

Teacher of literature and now is working as a freelance cultural activist/director. He teaches theatre in education at the University of Khulna, Bangladesh. He did his PhD on “Shakespeare in Nineteenth-Century Bengali Dramatic Literature: An Analytical Survey,” the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is at present involved in the activities of Khulna Laboratory Theatre and is founder and chairperson of the Institute of Cultural Research (ICR), Khulna, Bangladesh. He has published plays, research books, and articles on theatre for development, traditional culture, and theatre both in Bengali and English.
