Badal Sircar: Scripting a Movement

Shayoni Mitra is a PhD candidate at the Department of Performance Studies at Tisch School of the Arts/NYU, where she completed her M.A. in May 2004. She received a B.A. and M.A. in English from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University. Her interests are political performance and Indian street theatre. She has been a member of Jana Natya Manch, a Delhi based street theatre group, for the past four years.
