Abstract
Pomona College's production of Luis Valdez's Zoot Suit, arguably the most important piece of Chicano Theatre, makes it starkly clear that, 30 years after its premiere, the play's confrontation of institutionalized racism and xenophobia remains viscerally relevant in a contemporary war-strewn context.
