Abstract
Kutluğ Ataman's touring DVD installation Küba (2004–2010) documents the lives of 40 inhabitants of a radical Istanbul ghetto, telling stories of belonging, place, identity, and exile. Contemporary discourses of mobility offer a productive framework through which to understand the project's tensions between home and travel.
