Abstract
Since 1994, the Anglo-German artist collective Gob Squad has been celebrating live performance as a space for encounter via mediation. In an artistic border zone between performance, theatre, film, video, and installation, Gob Squad—together with their audience—aims to create hyperrealistic effects that reflect and dismantle the powerful mechanisms and seduction strategies of a culture dominated by screens, cameras, and other forms of technological interface.
