Abstract
How might contemporary artistic practices respond critically to war in a post-Cold War era in which the distinctions between peace and war are dissolving? Danish director Christian Lollike set out to address this issue in the acclaimed war ballet Contact, which featured an encounter between 33 ballet dancers and three Danish veterans who had been wounded in the war in Afghanistan.
