Camille S. Owens is a Junior Fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows. She received her PhD in African American Studies and American Studies at Yale University in 2020. Her dissertation, “Blackness and the Human Child: Race, Prodigy, and the Logic of American Childhood,” traces a genealogy of 19th- and 20th-century black prodigy performances, exploring schemas of race and childhood as interlocking measures, and limits, of the Human. csowens@fas.harvard.edu
