Eva Kernbauer teaches modern and contemporary art at the University of Berne, Switzerland. She has contributed to numerous publications on contemporary art, among them an edition of Eva Hesse's datebooks of 1964–1965 (Yale University Press, 2006), and is currently preparing a book on depictions of history in contemporary art.
