Julia Kursell is a Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin. She recently coedited, with Pnina Avidar and Raviv Ganchrow, Immersed: Sound and Architecture (NAi, 2009). Her areas of research include the history of the physiology of hearing, the psychology of music, and twentieth-century composition.
