Stephen Monteiro is an assistant professor in the Department of Global Communications at the American University of Paris, where he directs the Graduate Track in Visual and Material Culture. He has written on media, art, and aesthetics for Photography & Culture, Kritische Berichte, and Visual Resources, among other journals. He is currently completing a book on popular film practices and contemporary art.
