Pocket Wireless and the Shape of Media to Come, 1899–1922

Grant Wythoff
Grant Wythoff is a doctoral candidate in the Department of English and the Program in Media and Modernity at Princeton University. His dissertation is a cultural history of that alternately functional and fictional device, the gadget. He currently serves on the steering committee of the Princeton Digital Humanities Initiative and is preparing a critical edition of Hugo Gernsback's writings on media and science fiction. Beginning in fall 2013, he will join the Columbia University Society of Fellows in the Humanities.
