Inside: Out

Alma Steingart is a Junior Fellow of the Harvard Society of Fellows. She is currently working on a historical analysis of the cultural and ideological rise of abstraction in mathematics during the Cold War. Her second project, “Making Mathematics Manifest,” examines the rise of computer graphics visualization in mathematical research in the last three decades of the twentieth century.
