Editor's Introduction

Joseph L. Clarke is Assistant Professor of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology. His book project concerns the history of reverberation and its contribution to the spatial ideas and auratic pretensions of modern architecture. Other areas of his research include the genesis of architectural publics and disciplinary anxieties around the problem of error.
