Claus Pias
Claus Pias is Professor of Epistemology and Philosophy of Digital Media at the University of Vienna. He studied electrical engineering, art history, philosophy, and German literature. His research fields are: history and theory of cybernetics, epistemology of computer simulation, contemporary art, and media theory. His publications include Computer Spiel Welten (Sequenzia, 2002); Cybernetics/ Kybernetik: The Macy Conferences, 1946–1953, 2 vols. (Diaphanes Verlag, 2003/2004); Herman Kahn: Szenarien für den Kalten Krieg (Diaphanes Verlag, 2007).
