Planetary Home and Garden: Ekistics and Environmental-Developmental Politics

Panayiota Pyla is an architectural historian and theorist and Assistant Professor of Architecture at the University of Cyprus. Her essays on post-WWII architecture, development, and environmental politics have appeared in the Journal of Architectural Education, the Journal of Planning History, Docomomo, and Archis-Volume, among others. Pyla is also the editor of the forthcoming Landscapes of Development: The Impact of Modernization Discourses on the Physical Environment of the Eastern Mediterranean (Aga Khan Program at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, 2009).
