Patricia Falguières is a Professor at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS), Paris. Her work focuses on the philosophy and art of the Renaissance. Her publications include Les chambres de merveilles (Bayard, 2003) and essays in Le style rustique: L'emploi du moulage d'après nature chez Wenzel Jamnitzer et Bernard Palissy by Ernst Kris (Macula, 2005) and Les cabinets d'art et de merveilles de la renaissance tardive by Julius von Schlosser (Macula, 2013). Her current research focuses on technē in the Renaissance and the inclusion of the arts in the Aristotelian order of knowledge. In parallel, she regularly publishes articles and essays in the field of contemporary art and directs the seminar Something You Should Know at the EHESS, with Elisabeth Lebovici and Natasa Petresin.
