Juhani Vira
Juhani Vira is the Vice President for Research at Posiva Oy and in charge of the Olkiluoto site investigations and the research into long-term safety of geologic disposal of nuclear waste. Vira holds the degree of Doctor of Science (Engineering) at Helsinki University of Technology, Department of Engineering Physics (1981) and has over thirty years of experience with research related to the nuclear fuel cycle and waste management. He is also a member of the Radioactive Waste Management Committee of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency.
