Sanjay Sarma is a Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at MIT. He is the cofounder of the Auto-ID Center at MIT, which developed many of the technical concepts and standards prevalent in the RFID industry today. He currently serves on the board of governors for EPCglobal and is a board member of OATSystems, a software company he helped found.
