Iris Orriss is Director of Internationalization and Localization at Facebook. She is responsible for Facebook's internationalization initiatives, its pioneering community translation model, setting strategy, and driving the growth of Facebook in 100+ local languages. She is also on the advisory board of Translators without Borders, a nonprofit organization that provides translations for NGOs. Prior to Facebook, Iris was a director at Microsoft in various positions. She is a frequent speaker on the language barrier, internationalization, and agile development topics.
