Find Your Audience

For over thirty years, the MIT Press has acquired titles considered required reading in their fields. A considerable number of our journals boast a high impact factor, such as International Security, which is often the number one journal in international relations and military studies. Computational Linguistics and The Review of Economics and Statistics are near the top of their respective fields. Whether discussing breakthroughs in machine/human interface in Artificial Life or studying the intricacies of neural processing in the Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience, the MIT Press has earned its reputation as one of the leading publishers of science and technology titles in the country.

The MIT Press offers a variety of advertising opportunities. We accept both print and digital advertising in most of our journals, whose subjects include art, literature, political science, history, performance studies, economics, and science and technology, among others.

Ad Content

Advertising content is subject to publisher approval.

Cancellations

Due to production costs already incurred, reservations that are not canceled prior to the closing date will be invoiced for the full amount of the reservation, whether or not the ad appears in the journal.

Payment Terms

Payment is due 30 days from the invoice date. Invoices and tear sheets for print insertions will be sent following publication. Advertisers must pay for a complete copy of a journal where their advertisement appears. Invoice, screen shots, and statistics (impressions and click-throughs) will be sent to the advertiser within 30 days after an online ad is removed.

Discounts

Agencies: 15%. No cash discount. Advertising agencies are responsible for full payment of all advertising ordered for their clients. Agencies forfeit discounts if full payment is not paid within 45 days of the invoice date.

Mailing List Rentals

MIT Press Journals does rent the postal addresses of its subscriber lists. Rental requests are subject to approval by Publisher and Editor. Requests should specify the relevant journal, U.S. and/or international addresses, and individual and/or institutional subscribers. Requests should be sent to journals-info@mit.edu. Please allow 10 business days for delivery. The MIT Press does not rent the e-mail addresses of its customers/subscribers.

1000 names or more = $250/M
500-999 names = $150 (flat rate)
0-499 names = $100 (flat rate)
